These terms of use ("terms") apply to the "PrepScholar" website (referred to as "PrepScholar", "we", or "our").

Terms of agreement

PrepScholar is a provider of recorded video teaching services, or live teaching and streaming activities, serving as a cross-regional and time-flexible teaching platform. Our products and services include: all courses on the platform, course-related materials, and real-time information feedback to users (hereinafter referred to as "the service").

Regardless of the physical location of individual users, these terms apply to all members or visitors (hereinafter collectively referred to as "users", "you") who connect to PrepScholar. When you complete registration on this teaching platform (hereinafter referred to as "the platform") and/or use the platform services, it means you have read, understood, agreed to accept and comply with these terms.

PrepScholar, to the extent permitted by law, has the right to modify or adjust any terms in these terms of use at any time. Users must regularly visit this platform to ensure they understand PrepScholar's latest relevant terms of use. If you do not agree with part or all of these terms, you should immediately stop using this service.

Registration obligation statement

Users should have full legal capacity. If you have limited or no legal capacity, when you apply to register as a member and continue to use our platform services, it means that your legal representative, guardian, or assistant has read and agreed to these terms.

Users should regularly update their personal information and ensure it is true, correct, and up-to-date.

Users should not use false, incomplete information, or information unrelated to their personal true information to create their account name, including but not limited to using names that imitate others, offensive words, any racially discriminatory text, or any text that would harm or infringe upon the rights of others as an account name.

If users violate the above terms, PrepScholar has the right to suspend or terminate the user's account at any time and refuse the user's access to our service.

Users are obligated to properly safeguard their account, password, and other related identity verification information, and are responsible for all activities and actions performed after logging into the system with this account, including but not limited to related fees incurred.

This service is for the user's personal use only. Users may not transfer or lend their account and password to others. If users discover their account is being illegally used by others, or due to hacking or the member's negligent safekeeping, their account or password is being illegally used by others, users should immediately notify PrepScholar, but our platform bears no compensation responsibility for this.

If you share a computer with others or use a public computer, please be sure to close your browser or clear your browser data to prevent others from obtaining your account information.

Changes to the terms of use

We may revise and update these terms of use at our discretion. All changes are effective immediately upon posting and apply to all access to and use of the website thereafter.

Your continued use of this website following the posting of revised terms of use means that you accept and agree to the changes. You should check this page regularly to be aware of any changes, as they are binding on you.

User compliance commitment

You agree and promise not to use this service for any illegal purpose or method, and will comply with relevant laws and regulations of the Republic of China and all international conventions for using the internet. If you are a user located outside the Republic of China, you agree to comply with the laws of your country or region.

Users agree and promise not to use this service to engage in activities that infringe upon the rights of others or violate the law, including but not limited to the following situations:

  1. Uploading, posting, publishing, or transmitting any defamatory, insulting, threatening, offensive, indecent, obscene, false, contrary to public order or good morals, or other illegal text, images, or files of any form on this service.
  2. Infringing upon others' reputation, privacy rights, trade secrets, trademark rights, copyrights, patent rights, other intellectual property rights, and other rights.
  3. Violating confidentiality obligations under law or contract.
  4. Impersonating others to use this service, or allowing others to use this service in your name.
  5. Uploading, transmitting, or distributing any code or data containing computer viruses or that interrupts, destroys, or limits the functionality of computer software or hardware.
  6. Engaging in illegal transaction activities or posting false, misleading, or criminal-inducing messages.
  7. Mass sending advertising emails, spam, chain letters, pornography, gambling, or various illegal messages.
  8. Harming minors in any way.
  9. Forging message sources or interfering with the identification of transmission sources in any way.
  10. Interfering with or disrupting this service, servers, or networks connected to this service, or not complying with requirements, procedures, policies, or rules related to connecting to this service.
  11. Tracking others or otherwise interfering with others, or collecting or storing others' personal information.
  12. Other behaviors deemed inappropriate by PrepScholar.

When users violate the above regulations, PrepScholar has the right to suspend or terminate the user's account at any time and refuse the user's access to our service.

Content ownership and intellectual property rights

All content and materials on this platform, including but not limited to text, audio, images, videos, graphics, software, web design, website structure, and screen layout, are protected by intellectual property laws and are legally owned by PrepScholar or other rights holders (such as partner instructors), including but not limited to copyright, trademark rights, patent rights, etc.

Without prior written consent from PrepScholar or other rights holders, users may not in any form, including but not limited to download, modify, reproduce, record, broadcast, distribute, use, publicly recite, publicly broadcast, publicly present, publicly display, publicly perform, publicly transmit, publish, sell, sublicense or transfer all or part of PrepScholar and any related course or lecture content on PrepScholar;

Users also may not engage in reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, reconstructing, decompiling or copying any function or program, or attempt to obtain source code or content.

If users violate the above provisions, PrepScholar has the right to suspend or terminate the user's account at any time and refuse the user's access to our service. Users must also bear all infringement actions caused by this, resulting in compensation and legal liability (including but not limited to attorney fees and lost profits).

Refund policy

  1. Refund eligibility: Users who, within 7 days after purchase, have been confirmed not to have watched the official course videos or downloaded content files (excluding preview units), may apply for a refund.

  2. Refund process: Please provide the name and email address you used when purchasing, and state the reason for requesting a refund, by emailing contact@prepscholar.live. A staff member will review and process your refund.

  3. Refund methods
    • Credit card refund: If you originally paid by credit card, the refund will be processed back to your credit card.
    • Bank transfer refund: If you originally paid by ATM transfer or convenience store payment, the refund will be processed by bank transfer.

Users are responsible for their own conduct when using our service and should exercise judgment regarding the truthfulness of information and statements provided by other users.

This service may contain links to third-party websites. Since we cannot control third-party website content and resources, you need to understand the terms of use and privacy policies of any website before accessing or using it, and carefully consider its credibility and accuracy.

PrepScholar is not responsible for any losses caused by users' negligence, illegal actions, or other reasons while using our service.

For any matters not covered in this disclaimer, relevant laws, regulations, and platform policies shall prevail.
